Janus is the Cardinal of the Empire Church in Sanctus Imriel, in the Northeast of the Berkel Capital. He is also the leader of the Shadow Tribe. By his orders, Kiyan is working towards protecting The Channel and using the identity of a Berkel knight. Janus had made it clear that by using The Channel, they can prevent a war, which is what the Shadow Tribe appears to be working towards.
